What do I do with a KONG Classic?

WIth the weather getting warmer and us all being on lockdown, now is the perfect time to invest in a KONG Classic. These funny shaped red rubber things are a very simple yet effecive invention! The best ones always are, right?

So, What do I do? What can I put in it?

One of my favourite things to do is cook up a load of veggies, sweet potatoes etc, then turn them all into a paste and litralley stuff the KONG, then pop it in the freezer overnight. It keeps the dog busy for ages while he trys to get all the frozen goodness out. It’s also really helathy for him as hes getting all the goodness from the veggies and them the waterconent of them too. It helps him keep cool and helps keep him entertained.

Okay, so that sounds fantastic, but how do I clean it?

That’s the easiest part! Just put it in the top draw of your dishwasher. You can also let it soak in warm water, then give it a bit of a shake. If you have a bottle brush, these work really well at getting rid of any stubborn left overs.

Awesome! Can I put anything else in it?

You sure can, the possibilites are endless, but here are a few ideas:

  • Put a little bit of peanut butter on the inner edges (DO NOT stuff it full of peanut butter, PLEASE!)
  • Do you feed raw food? Stuff it inside and feed either for their meal, or take some of their meal quota and use that)
  • Do you feed dry food? Put a few pieces of kibble inside, then add a couple of teaspoons of water and put it in the freer, the idea is for the water to get between the pieces of kibble and freeze to hold it together (making the game last longer). As above, feed the whole meal this way, or just part of it.

So, where can I get one?

If you dont already have one, may we recommend this one?
